Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Commercial Lease Administrator to join our Montreal team. The selected candidate will be based in our Montreal office, located near Crémazie metro station.

Main Responsibilities

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

The Lease Administrator is responsible for the administration of the leases included in the company’s portfolio, which involves analyzing, entering and updating lease information and ensuring the accuracy of the data entered, in compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures.

He or she must coordinate legal and statutory documents with the Leasing Department and ensure that they are correctly tracked and entered into the accounting system.

He or she interprets leases negotiated with tenants of commercial and office properties, and related documents, to capture legal and financial information and prepare summaries, ensuring accuracy of information and comparing it with the original legal documents.

He or she prepares, updates and follows up on a variety of documents such as staking plans, draft commission agreements, draft lease agreements with tenants, and so on.

Finally, he or she coordinates related legal documents with the leasing department and performs all other tasks in support of the leasing department.

Skills Profile and Required Qualifications

YOUR PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • Commercial lease training or 5 years’ experience in commercial and office lease administration;
  • Solid understanding of the commercial lease administration process;
  • Proven proficiency in reading and understanding leasing documents and contracts (leases, amendments, assignments, commission agreements and contracts, and related commercial real estate agreements);
  • Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken;
  • Good knowledge of the Hopem accounting system.
